Ita Gymnastics provides group and private lessons for children aged 2 – 17. Ita’s classes are organized as follows:

Coquis (2-3 years old, Adult Participation Required)

This is a 45 minute class for children 2-3 years old. The class will be structured and led by a coach and requires guardian participation. This introduces the basics of gymnastics and promotes motor skills through obstacle courses. Our student to teacher ratio is 8 to 1 for this class.

Gandules (4-5 years old)

This is a 45 minute class for children aged 4-5. Students will gain independence and confidence as they participate in this class solo. The class is structured and led by an instructor through an obstacle course encompassing vault, bars, beam, floor, and conditioning. Students will learn the basics of gymnastics, work on gross motor skills, social skills, and school readiness (letters, shapes, colors, etc.) Our student to teacher ratio is 6 to 1 for this class.

Tostones (6-8 years old)

This is a 45 minute class for children aged 6-8. These classes will be structured and led by a coach through obstacle courses and stations utilizing all gymnastics events including vault, bars, beam, floor, parallel bars. Students will be instructed through drills to develop gymnastics skills, strength, coordination, and balance. Student to teacher ratio is 8:1.

Platanos (9-12 years old)

This is a 45 to 60 minute class for children aged 9-12. These classes will be structured and led by a coach through obstacle courses and stations utilizing all gymnastics events including vault, bars, beam, floor, parallel bars. Students will be instructed through drills to develop gymnastics skills, strength, coordination, and balance. Student to teacher ratio is 8:1.

Flans (13-17 years old)

This 45 to 60 minute advanced-level class is for children aged 13-17. These classes will be structured and led by a coach through obstacle courses and stations utilizing all gymnastics events including vault, bars, beam, floor, parallel bars. Students will be instructed through drills to develop gymnastics skills, strength, coordination, and balance. Student to teacher ratio is 8:1.
